Garlic Butter Brie Rounds with Cranberries & Toasted Walnuts with a Hot Honey Drizzle

⭐ Ingredients

For the rounds:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 wheel Brie cheese (cut into small cubes or rounds)
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 clove garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Toppings:

  • ¼ cup dried cranberries (chopped)
  • ¼ cup toasted walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

Hot Honey Drizzle:

  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ½–1 tsp chili flakes (adjust heat)
  • Pinch of salt

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep the Puff Pastry

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut puff pastry into small circles with a cookie cutter or glass.
  • Place on a parchment-lined baking tray.

2. Make the Garlic Butter

Mix:

  • Melted butter
  • Minced garlic
  • Pinch salt & pepper
    Brush lightly over each puff pastry circle.

3. Add the Brie

  • Place a piece of Brie in the center of each round.
  • Fold edges upward slightly or leave open like tartlets.

4. Add Toppings

Over each round, sprinkle:

  • Chopped cranberries
  • Toasted walnuts
  • A few thyme/rosemary leaves (optional)

Brush edges of pastry with egg wash for color.

5. Bake

Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

6. Make Hot Honey

In a small bowl:

  • Warm the honey slightly (microwave 10–15 sec)
  • Mix in chili flakes + pinch salt.

7. Finish

Drizzle warm hot honey over baked rounds just before serving.
