🧾 Ingredients

Wontons

  • 30–35 wonton wrappers

  • ½ lb ground pork (or chicken/shrimp)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 green onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • Black pepper, to taste

Soup

  • 6 cups chicken broth

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • ½ tsp sesame oil

  • 1 clove garlic, smashed

  • 1-inch ginger slice

  • Green onions, sliced

  • Baby bok choy or spinach (optional)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make Filling

  • In a bowl, mix pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, green onion, cornstarch, and pepper

2. Fill Wontons

  • Place 1 tsp filling in center of wrapper

  • Moisten edges with water, fold and seal tightly

  • Keep covered with a damp towel

3. Prepare Broth

  • Bring broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to a gentle boil

  • Simmer 5 minutes, then remove garlic & ginger

4. Cook Wontons

  • Drop wontons into simmering broth

  • Cook 3–4 minutes until they float and filling is cooked through

5. Add Greens & Serve

  • Add bok choy or spinach, cook 1 minute

  • Garnish with green onions
