This Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake is rich, creamy, and indulgent with a crunchy chocolate crust and fresh strawberry topping. Perfect for birthdays, parties, or a bakery-style dessert at home.

Chocolate Crust

  • 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (Oreos or chocolate biscuits)

  • Β½ cup melted butter

Cheesecake Filling

  • 16 oz (450g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup melted semi-sweet chocolate (cooled)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Strawberry Topping

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)

  • ΒΌ cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth cheesecake.

  • Melt chocolate gently and let it cool before mixing.

  • Fresh strawberries give the best flavor, but frozen can be used for sauce.

1️⃣ Make the Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 325Β°F (160Β°C).

  2. Mix cookie crumbs with melted butter.

  3. Press firmly into the bottom of the springform pan.

  4. Bake for 10 minutes and cool.


2️⃣ Make the Cheesecake Filling

  1. Beat cream cheese until smooth.

  2. Add sugar and mix until creamy.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing slowly.

  4. Mix in sour cream, vanilla, cocoa powder, and melted chocolate.

  5. Pour batter over crust and smooth the top.


3️⃣ Bake

  1. Place pan in a water bath (optional but recommended).

  2. Bake for 55–65 minutes until the center is slightly jiggly.

  3. Turn off oven and crack the door open for 1 hour.

  4. Chill in fridge for 4–6 hours or overnight.


4️⃣ Strawberry Topping

  1. Cook strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice on medium heat.

  2. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thick.

  3. Cool and spread over chilled cheesecake.
