Ingredients
For the Beef
- 1½ pounds flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the Stir-Fry
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
For the Sauce
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions
Step 1: Marinate the Beef
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and oil.
- Toss well and let marinate for 15–20 minutes.
Step 2: Make the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, beef broth, and cornstarch.
- Set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Beef
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
- Add the beef in a single layer.
- Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned.
- Remove and set aside.
Step 4: Stir-Fry the Vegetables
- Add the remaining oil to the wok.

- Return the beef to the skillet.
