This classic vinegar-based sauce is tangy, peppery, and perfect for pulled pork.
Ingredients
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (more if you like heat)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Heat gently, stirring until the sugar dissolves (do not boil).
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using. Keeps for several weeks in the refrigerator.
