1. Cook the Potatoes

  • Place diced potatoes in a pot of salted water.

  • Bring to a boil and cook 12–15 minutes until fork-tender.

  • Add peas during the last 3 minutes of cooking.

  • Drain and set aside.


2. Make the Cream Sauce

  • In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat.

  • Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute (do not brown).

  • Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until smooth.

  • Cook until thickened.


3. Combine

  • Add potatoes and peas back to the pot.

  • Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  • Gently stir until coated in the cream sauce.


4. Serve

  • Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
