8 oz (225 g) smoked sausage, sliced into rounds (kielbasa or turkey sausage work great)
2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or lightly steamed)
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup honey
3 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos for low-carb)
1 tbsp lemon juice or rice vinegar
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Sesame seeds & chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Set aside.
Cook the Sausage Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides (about 4–5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Add shrimp, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook until pink — about 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
Cook the Broccoli Add broccoli to the same pan with a splash of water. Cover and steam for 2–3 minutes, until tender-crisp.
Combine Everything Return shrimp and sausage to the pan. Pour in the honey garlic sauce, toss to coat, and cook for another 2–3 minutes until everything is glazed and heated through.
Serve Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve over rice, cauliflower rice, or enjoy it as is for a low-carb meal!
🌿 Tips
For Keto version: replace honey with a sugar-free honey substitute (like allulose or monk fruit honey).
Add bell peppers or snap peas for extra crunch and color.
