BREAKING: New Development in the Disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s Mother Nancy Guthrie

TUCSON, ARIZONA — The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, remains active more than six months after she disappeared from her Arizona home.

Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills residence on the night of January 31. Investigators believe she was taken from her home during the early morning hours of February 1. The latest development came after human remains were discovered on August 13 in a Tucson wash near Interstate 10 and Silverlake Road. Because of the location and timing, reports immediately raised questions about whether the remains could belong to Nancy.

In recent months, authorities have also released details about alleged ransom notes connected to the disappearance.
