Banana Walnut Cream Cake

This Banana Walnut Cream Cake is rich yet balanced, made with ripe bananas for natural sweetness, toasted walnuts for crunch, and a smooth cream frosting that ties everything together. Perfect for birthdays, tea time, or a special dessert.

🍳 Ingredients

Cake

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup sugar (brown or white)

  • ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts

Cream Frosting

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold

  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  • Grease and line an 8-inch round pan.


2. Make the Batter

  • In a bowl, whisk mashed bananas, eggs, sugar, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.

  • Fold in chopped walnuts.


3. Bake

  • Pour batter into the pan and level the top.

  • Bake 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool completely.


4. Make Cream Frosting

  • Beat cold whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft-medium peaks form.


5. Assemble

  • Spread whipped cream evenly over the cooled cake.

  • Garnish with walnuts or banana slices.
