🧂 Ingredients

For the Beef

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

For the Sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup water or broth

Noodles & Veggies

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Optional: sliced carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, or green onions

Step 1 – Marinate the Beef

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
  2. Add sliced beef and toss well.
  3. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Step 2 – Cook the Noodles

  1. Boil noodles according to package instructions.
  2. Drain and set aside.

Step 3 – Prepare the Sauce

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and water.

Step 4 – Stir-Fry the Beef

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok on high heat.
  2. Add beef and stir-fry until browned (2–3 minutes).
  3. Remove beef and set aside.

Step 5 – Cook the Broccoli

  1. Add another 1 tablespoon oil to the same pan.
  2. Add broccoli (and other veggies if using).
  3. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.

Step 6 – Combine Everything

  1. Add the cooked noodles and beef back into the pan.
  2. Pour the sauce on top.
  3. Toss well for 1–2 minutes until everything is coated and heated through.

Step 7 – Serve

  • Serve hot, topped with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
