Golden, bite-size shrimp coated in a seasoned crispy crust. Addictive and super easy.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) small shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tsp vinegar)

  • Oil for frying

Coating

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup cornstarch

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp cayenne (optional)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate

  • Soak shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes

  • Drain lightly (don’t rinse)

2️⃣ Coat

  • Mix all coating ingredients

  • Toss shrimp until fully coated

3️⃣ Fry

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C)

  • Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden

  • Drain on paper towels
