Super Easy Peach Cobbler is the kind of classic dessert everyone loves because it is warm, comforting, and incredibly simple to make. Juicy peaches bubble beneath a golden buttery topping, creating the perfect combination of soft fruit and tender crust. Whether served fresh from the oven with vanilla ice cream or enjoyed chilled the next day, peach cobbler is always a crowd-pleaser.

This recipe is perfect for beginners because it uses basic pantry ingredients and comes together with very little effort. You can make it with fresh, canned, or frozen peaches, making it a year-round favorite. It is ideal for family dinners, potlucks, summer gatherings, or whenever you want a homemade dessert without spending hours in the kitchen.

Preparation Time

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Bake Time: 40 to 45 minutes
  • Total Time: 55 minutes

Yield

  • 8 servings

Ingredients

For the Peach Filling

  • 5 cups sliced peaches (fresh, canned drained, or frozen thawed)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thicker filling)

For the Cobbler Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Optional Toppings

  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Extra cinnamon

Equipment Needed

  • 9×13-inch baking dish or similar pan
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spoon or whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Peaches

In a bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and optional cornstarch. Toss well.

Step 3: Add Butter to Dish

Pour melted butter into the baking dish, spreading evenly across the bottom.

Step 4: Make the Batter

In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt until smooth.

Pour batter directly over the melted butter. Do not stir.

Step 5: Add Peaches

Spoon peaches and juices evenly over the batter. Again, do not stir. As it bakes, the batter rises around the fruit to create the cobbler topping.

Step 6: Bake

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Step 7: Cool Slightly and Serve

Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
