These Cheesy Ham & Potato Croquettes are crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside, packed with savory ham and melty cheese. They’re easy to make, freezer-friendly, and always a crowd-pleaser.

🍳 Ingredients

Croquette Mixture

  • 3 medium potatoes, boiled & mashed

  • 1 cup cooked ham, finely chopped

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

  • 1 small onion, finely minced (optional)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Coating

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • Oil for frying


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, ham, cheese, onion, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley.

  • Mix until well combined and firm enough to shape.


2. Shape

  • Take small portions and shape into cylinders or balls.


3. Coat

  • Dip each croquette into beaten egg.

  • Roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.


4. Fry

  • Heat oil over medium heat.

  • Fry croquettes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.

  • Drain on paper towels.
