- 3 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)
- ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese (or any melting cheese)
- 2 tbsp cornflour (or all-purpose flour)
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander (optional)
- 1–2 green chilies (finely chopped, optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp garlic paste (optional)
For coating:
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour + little water (to make slurry)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
For frying:
- Oil (for deep frying)

- Prepare mixture
In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, salt, pepper, chili flakes, garlic paste, coriander, and cornflour. - Shape & fill
Take a small portion, flatten it, place some grated cheese in the center, and seal it properly. Roll into a ball. - Coating
Dip each ball into flour slurry, then coat with breadcrumbs. - Fry
Heat oil on medium flame. Fry the balls until golden brown and crispy. - Serve hot
Serve with ketchup, mayo, or green chutney.
🔥 Tips:
- Keep flame medium to prevent bursting.
- Freeze balls for 15–20 minutes before frying for better shape.
- You can air-fry at 180°C for 12–15 minutes (brush with oil).
